Arriving by plane
The nearest airport is Schiphol Amsterdam. From Schiphol you can take a train with a direct connection to Utrecht. The journey takes approximately 30 mins und trains leave every 15 minute and go straight to Utrecht Central Station. You will find the train station situated directly below the airport.
A Taxi from Schiphol Airport to Utrecht, if it is pre-booked, will cost around 80 Euro. Without booking a taxi beforehand, expect to pay around 100 Euro on the meter. Please ensure that you only book a taxi from an official taxi stand.
Arriving by train
Operators such as Eurostar, ICE International, Intercity Berlin, Intercity Brussels, TGV and Thalys offer high speed train connections from a variety of cities and airports, such as Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
You can take a train from Amsterdam main station to Utrecht main station approximately every 15 mins until midnight. The journey from Amsterdam to Utrecht takes about 30 mins.
Utrecht Central station - international connections
Utrecht Central Station has a direct high-speed train connection with Germany and Switzerland. Amsterdam Central Station is frequented by many international trains, connecting the Netherlands to various cities and airports in Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Visa Requirements
A valid passport or travel document (valid for at least 3 months after your date of departure) is usually all you need to enter Holland. Whether or not you will require a visa depends on your nationality. Check with the Dutch Embassy or Consulate in your own country whether you require a visa. Letter of Invitation
Forums and Events organisers will be happy to issue a Letter of Invitation to our Conference Speakers, Poster Presenters and our Conference Attendees.

Letters of invitation for visa purposes are hand signed and will be sent by regular post. Please anticipate around 6 weeks for arrival. Express mail will be offered on request, however the cost incurred for this service will be charged to you. Additionally, we are happy to send a Letter of Invitation as a pdf format by email.
Once you have received your letter of invitation, you will have to take the necessary steps to apply for your visa. Please note that you are fully responsible to make your own arrangements for getting a visa. Please contact your embassy or consulate as early as possible to find out all the necessary requirements and length of time expected to complete the visa process successfully.
